The project concerns a specific reflection on nomadic beekeeping, created in collaboration with Rosario Sorbello. The installation consists of a series of six wooden beehive frames with beeswax surface on which are imprinted the maps of some European cities. The places chosen are the countries where statistically have been proven a rapid transformation of the domestic economy on behalf of the new migrant workforce. The reliefs in wax replace the normal ‘beehive’ pattern stamped into the frame to guide the bees in the production of the honeycomb. The work is accompanied by a critical-narrative text which completes the reading.

Il progetto riguarda una specifica riflessione sull’apicoltura nomade, realizzata in collaborazione con Rosario Sorbello. L’installazione è costituita da una serie di sei telai per api sulla cui superficie cerea sono impresse le mappe di alcune città europee. I luoghi scelti rappresentano quei Paesi in cui statisticamente è in corso una rapida trasformazione dell’economia interna per conto della nuova forza lavoro migrante. I rilievi nella cera sostituiscono la normale trama ’ad alveare’ impressa nel telaio per guidare le api nella produzione del favo. Il lavoro è accompagnato da un testo critico-narrativo che ne completa la lettura.
